A: rrecess is a social game designed for people who struggle with social media and texting back. It is spelled with two Rs to represent "rest and recreation."
A: The goal of rrecess is to help users get to know their network better, provide fun updates to their network, and connect with people in a non-addictive, non-time-consuming way.
A: rrecess starts daily at 2 pm ET with a short prompt activity that users can do with their friends. The app then shares the prompt answers with the user's contacts and highlights the answers of five random contacts. At the end of each week, users receive a rrecess rewind that they can share with their friends.
The prompt activities are chosen randomly from a selection of games, including See Saw (a poll question), Merry Go Round (sharing a GIF based on a prompt), Show and Tell (sharing a photo of something meaningful), and Telephone (recording an audio message based on a prompt). You also have the option to share a status update every day.
